Hi. I’m Heather. I am a partner, a mother of four grown up children, a grandmother of five (sixth one is due Feb. 2012), and the owner of a German short haired pointer named Ava.
I live in Sale; a town in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. It is down in the south-east corner of the country and is a beautiful part of Australia. The town is close to beaches, lakes, the mountains and like a lot of Australian towns sits beside a river. About 20,000 people live in Sale and it is a popular spot for tourism. I have lived here for about 8 years after moving from Bairnsdale, which is about 75km further east.
I work in corrections in Victoria, Australia. I also sell Avon to my colleagues and family, as well as working on my online gift store. More on those pursuits in later blogs. I am a pretty busy person, but enjoy my downtime as well, spending time with my partner and family.
I have decided to write a blog to share my thoughts on everything that affects me as a citizen of the world, and how I believe we can all make a difference if we choose to. I will also share parts of my life with you; hopefully in an entertaining way.
As I have never done anything like this before, it will definitely be a work in progress and I hope you will bear with me as I get my head around blogging. Please feel free to share your thoughts and opinions with me. I tend to be a positive person, so I hope your critiques and opinions will remain positive too.
I look forward to the journey.
